BE VAN DAN PRIMARY SCHOOL – GIA DINH WARD YOUNG PIONEER ORGANIZATION

PROMOTING HO CHI MINH CULTURAL VALUES – JOINING HANDS TO PROTECT STUDENTS’ HEALTH
With the aim of fostering a friendly, culturally rich, and safe educational environment, the Young Pioneer Organization of Be Van Dan Primary School – Gia Dinh Ward is implementing meaningful and practical activities to support the comprehensive development of its Young Pioneers and younger pupils in terms of character, knowledge, and life skills.
LAUNCHING THE “EVERY CLASSROOM DISPLAYS A PORTRAIT OF PRESIDENT HO CHI MINH” CAMPAIGN – MAKING EVERY STUDY CORNER AT HOME A HO CHI MINH CULTURAL SPACE
Learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle begins with simple, meaningful actions in our daily lives. In response to this campaign, the Young Pioneer Organization is encouraging classes and families to create Ho Chi Minh cultural spaces both in classrooms and at home. Each student is encouraged to set up a neat, welcoming study corner featuring a portrait of beloved President Ho Chi Minh, together with meaningful pictures, stories, and teachings that reflect his values.
In particular, to encourage and support first-grade pupils as they begin creating their own study corners at home, the Young Pioneer Organization has presented each first-grade pupil with a small decorative display plaque to personalize and brighten their study space.
Although small, this gift conveys love, care, and confidence in the future generation. Through this activity, pupils are encouraged to deepen their love and respect for President Ho Chi Minh, develop self-discipline in learning, establish good study habits, keep their study corners clean and tidy, and put his teachings to children into practice.
Every portrait of Uncle Ho is a loving reminder; every beautiful study corner is a seed that nurtures pupils’ dreams, moral character, and spirit of independent learning.
PROACTIVELY PREVENTING SEASONAL INFLUENZA – BUILDING THE HABIT OF PROPER HANDWASHING
Alongside traditional and moral education, the Young Pioneer Organization also places great emphasis on health education, raising students’ awareness and strengthening their ability to protect their own health through communication activities on seasonal influenza prevention and proper handwashing techniques.
Seasonal influenza is a respiratory infection caused by influenza viruses. It can spread through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks, as well as when people touch contaminated surfaces and then touch their eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. Therefore, every student should proactively adopt these practical preventive measures:
Wear a mask when experiencing respiratory symptoms or when necessary, in accordance with health recommendations.
Cover the mouth and nose with a tissue or the elbow when coughing or sneezing, and dispose of used tissues properly.
Wash hands frequently with soap and clean water, especially before eating, after using the toilet, after coughing or sneezing, and whenever hands are dirty.
Avoid sharing personal items and help keep classrooms clean and well-ventilated.
Maintain a balanced diet, get adequate rest, and receive seasonal influenza vaccination as advised by healthcare professionals.
Through these small daily actions, pupils can gradually develop good personal hygiene habits, learn to care for their own health, and take responsibility for protecting the health of the wider community.
EDUCATION BEGINS WITH SIMPLE THINGS – INSPIRING AND SPREADING POSITIVE VALUES!
A study corner featuring a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh helps nurture patriotism, love for the homeland, and a commitment to moral development.
Clean hands help protect our health and contribute to a safer school environment.
Every positive action we take today helps shape tomorrow’s young citizens into knowledgeable, responsible, and compassionate individuals.
The Young Pioneer Organization of Be Van Dan Primary School – Gia Dinh Ward believes that, with the support of teachers and parents and the active participation of pupils, these meaningful messages will continue to spread from classrooms to homes, bringing the school community together to build a “Safe, Friendly, and Happy School.”
